A growing up book for girlsA beautifully written book directed to the young Jewish girl. Clearly and simply, it explains how her body is changing, how these changes are part of G-d's plans for her future, and how Jewish tradition views related matters, such as modesty.(80 Pages) How a Jewish Girl Grows Up This book received an approbation from Rav Yaakov Weinberg, zt"l, the Rosh Yeshiva of Ner Israel Rabbinical College. It is an easy to read book for mothers and daughters with appropriate illustrations of the female reproductive system and explanation of the female anatomy. Young girls before the age of bas mitzvah will appreciate the information presented in a kosher way that explains the changes that are going through their bodies, which serve as holy vessels for serving Hashem. The author is an observant practicing physician who had the opportunity to speak to a group of girls in a Jewish school about the issues of growing up, and decided to publish the results of her encounter in a book so that other mothers and girls will be able to learn from this experience. I personally would recommend this book highly to Jewish mothers and girls. Add as favourites (132) | Views: 3471
