In most small towns in America, where there are Orthodox Jewish communities, there is usually one Orthodox Hebrew Day School where most familes send their kids.  This is a fact of life and everybody tries to get along, regardless of their hashkafot (outlook).  But not so, in bigger communities where there is more variety of hashkafot.  Should these Jewish schools accept all Jews or only those who fit into their hashkafot?  Is this what the Kohen Gadol, Yehoshua ben Gamlan, envisioned in the times of the Beis HaMikdash, when he started schools for Jewish orphans, which later led to enrollment by Jewish kids with parents?

Image Even though the Beis HaMikdash is currently not in our midst except for the visible remnants of the western wall and buried artifacts, do we yearn and long for it?
