What is noteworthy is that Yosef does not appear to be at all surprised or amazed by the sudden turn of events in his fortunes. A person who lives by dreams is never surprised when the dream turns into reality.

ImageThere is a difference – to put it mildly – that is outlined clearly between Yosef and his brothers in this week’s parsha. Yosef is the quintessential dreamer, his head in the stars and his youthful exuberance and certainty in the truthful outcome of his dreams becomes very irritating to his brothers.

ImageThis week's gems from Rabbi Berel Wein are most valuable in evaluating a Torah education. Not everyone who receives a Torah education upholds the Torah values that are being taught. Torah education has to be lived by not just absorbed as facts. Parents need to do a lot of the moulding of the behavior of their children and also themselves in order to truly live by the words of the Torah.
