It is one thing to be inspired and thus acquire great ideals. It is another thing completely to be able to transfer those ideals and inspiration into everyday life on a regular basis.

Trusting in Hashem Print E-mail
Even though we are not at the level of the generations of the desert, we are not exempt from trusting in Hashem in our daily existence.  There is an implicit trust that we take for granted, for example, the established times of sunrise and sunset of each day.  If not for Hashem Who is renewing our world daily, who recreates our very existence every single day, we would not have a hope for tomorrow.   If we want Hashem to follow our will, we should definitely follow His Will for us.

It's not what happened but how we look at it Print E-mail
Every weekly Torah portion is filled with life-inspiring lessons.  This week's Torah portion, Shelach, is no different.  We know the popular saying, "where there are 2 Jews, there are 3 opinions."  Well, let us decide at least to be on the side of Hashem and Torah when we are forced to take an opinion.  Disputes among the Sages are not uncommon as well.  But if it is all for kiddush Hashem, we are on the right track.
